The One Drink Rule
I feel as if the explanation of The One Drink Rule needs more clarification than the box above allows.
The rule is based on the word “drink”, not “pint”; it doesn’t work with pint because a pint is a pint no matter what. However, a drink, technically, is the raising of the glass to the lips. But, of course, in a social type place or situation, one would never have one sip then leave. So, for this rule, we go on the idea that “one drink” is the uninterrupted repetition of said glass-to-lips motion. Therefore, should you be out for “one drink” and buy your next drink before the one you have is finished, you are merely continuing the motion.
There you have it. “The One Drink Rule” I’m sure that it would stand in a court of law, but if there aren’t any strips for a while, you know it hasn’t.
